A well-maintained back garden with a tidy lawn and borders

Garden maintenance

Garden maintenance that keeps the whole plot under control

Lawns, beds, borders and paths looked after on a rhythm that suits you, or in a single visit when things have got away from you. James handles the lot so your garden stays tidy and easy to enjoy, without it eating your weekends.

When people call

What James can help with

The garden's slowly got ahead of you

It started with one busy fortnight and now the grass is long, the borders are thick with weeds and the whole thing feels like a job too big to start. Regular maintenance hands that back to James, who keeps on top of it before it ever reaches that point again.

You want it sorted before a date in the diary

Summer's coming, family are visiting, or the house is about to go on the market. A pre-summer or pre-viewing visit gets the garden looking cared for and presentable, so the outside gives the right impression the moment someone walks up.

You haven't got the time or the kit

Between work and everything else, the garden is the thing that always slips. Rather than buy a shed full of tools you'll use twice a year, James brings everything and does the work properly, leaving you a tidy plot and a free Saturday.

What's included

A clean, dependable garden maintenance job

Every visit is about a tidy finish and clear communication — practical garden care that suits the property, not a one-size-fits-all package.

  • Mowing, edging and a neat finish to the lawn
  • Weeding beds, borders and gravel so planting can breathe
  • Pruning, dead-heading and cutting back overgrown growth
  • Planting up beds and pots where you'd like fresh colour

  • Clearing the cuttings and leaving the garden tidy at the end
  • A flexible visit pattern: weekly, fortnightly, monthly or as a one-off

How it works

From first message to a tidy finish

1

Tell James what you need

Give him a call or text, or send the free online quote form. Describe the garden and what's bothering you, whether that's ongoing upkeep or a single tidy before a date.

2

A quick look and an honest plan

James comes to see the garden, talks through what it actually needs and how often, and gives you a free quote. The aim is a straight view on what will keep it looking right.

3

The work gets done

On the agreed visit he works through the lawns, beds, borders and surfaces, dealing with whatever each area needs that day. You don't need to be in for him to get on with it.

4

Kept on track over time

With a regular slot, James returns on a rhythm that fits the garden and the season, so it never slides back into a big catch-up job. Adjust or pause whenever life changes.

Garden Maintenance questions, answered

Do I have to commit to regular visits?

Not at all. Plenty of people start with a single tidy-up and decide afterwards whether a regular slot would help. You can book one visit, set up a weekly or monthly rhythm, or pause when you don't need it.

How often should my garden be maintained?

It depends on the size of the plot, the planting and how tidy you like it kept. James will suggest a sensible pattern when he sees it, often fortnightly through the growing season and lighter in winter, and you can change it as you go.

Do I need to be home when James visits?

No. As long as he can reach the garden and any gates or side access are sorted, James is happy to get on with the work while you're out and let you know when it's done.

Can you get the garden ready before we sell or have guests?

Yes. A focused pre-viewing or pre-event visit is one of the most common requests. James tidies the lawn, borders and hard surfaces so the garden looks looked after when it matters most.

Is this different from general garden care?

They overlap, but garden maintenance is usually the fuller, more structured option for keeping the whole plot under control. General garden care is better for lighter ongoing jobs such as weeding, edges, paths and small tidy-ups. If you are not sure, choose the closest service and James will advise when he sees the garden.
